Yoshinari Kakazu
Using Ryukyu indigo cultivated in Yanbar's Higashimura, we express the depth of Ryukyu indigo using various techniques, such as indigo pigment and conventional dyeing methods.
We have researched Ryukyu indigo, which has been passed down from generation to generation and developed our own unique technique, which enables us to express indigo colors on items related to daily life other than yarn and clothing.

PROFILE
Rekio, Inc. was founded in 2006 and established as a corporation in 2015. It started the agricultural Ryukyu Indigo production business in 2016 in Higashi Village, Okinawa. In 2017, the New Field Overseas Expansion Support Project developed a limited-time store for three months to develop the brand in Taiwan. In 2018, the "Research and Development of Ryukyu Indigo Fermentation Building Dyeing Kit," the industry-academia-government collaboration promotion network formation project, started developing a denim brand [AINERY] using 100% natural Ryukyu indigo. In 2019, they designed the uniforms for Hotel Riscape on Miyako Island, operated by UDS stock. They solely participated in the "Good for Green" SDGS initiative at the Hankyu Hanshin Department Store’s Umeda main store. They developed two-step precipitation indigo using the Ryukyu indigo precipitation method in a industry-academia-government collaboration project of Okinawa Prefecture under technical guidance from Mr. Yoshihara of the Tokushima Agricultural Research Center. In 2020, they designed uniforms for the entire "Hoshinoya Okinawa" facility operated by Hoshino Resorts. They also established the Ryukyu Ai Research Institute and started the production and manufacturing of Ryukyu Ai at the premises of the Okinawa Industrial Development Youth Association. In 2015 and 2016 they participated in the Tokyo Collection organized by Mercedes-Benz in a show format. In 2019, they held a talk show at the Resort Seminar at Bankoku Shinryokan hosted by Busena Terrace.
